Account & Data Deletion

You are always in control of your data on Dude. You can permanently delete your account and the personal information associated with it at any time — either from inside the app or by submitting a request on this page. This page is publicly accessible and does not require you to sign in, in line with Google Play’s data-deletion requirements.

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Dude app:

• Open the Dude app and go to your Profile.
• Tap Settings → Account.
• Select Delete Account.
• Review the on-screen summary and confirm your choice.

Once confirmed, your account is deactivated immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion as described below.

If you can no longer access the app, you can ask us to delete your account and data by email. Send a message to privacy@dudesocial.in from the email address linked to your account, using the subject line “Delete My Account”, and include:

• The phone number or email associated with your Dude account.
• Your display name or username, if you remember it.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before deleting an account to protect you against unauthorized deletion requests. We aim to confirm and action verified requests within 7 days.

When your deletion request is processed, we permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize:

• Your profile, display name, bio, interests, and profile photos.
• Your account and login credentials.
• Your messages, matches, and call history.
• Media you uploaded and content you shared through the Service.
• Usage, device, and approximate location data tied to your account.
• Any unused in-app coin balance, which is forfeited on deletion.

A limited set of records may be retained for a period after deletion where we are legally required or permitted to keep them. This data is kept isolated and is not used to personalize the Service:

• Transaction & tax records — purchase records required for accounting and legal compliance.
• Safety & abuse records — limited information needed to prevent banned users from returning, and to respond to fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
• Legal-hold data — information we are obligated to preserve in response to a lawful request or ongoing investigation.

Retained records are deleted or anonymized once the applicable legal retention period expires.

Your account is deactivated as soon as you confirm deletion. Personal data is then removed from our active systems within 30 days, and from routine encrypted backups within 90 days. Records covered by the retention exceptions above are kept only for as long as the law requires.
